You can buy wrapping paper or use leftover wallpaper. Cut a large piece to a width of 76.2 cm, fold the edges inward and fold the paper into strips 10 times. Sew both sides of the resulting workpiece on sewing machine, retreating by 0.5 cm. Make 8 such blanks from stitched strips.

Intertwine them and get a large mesh, gluing the strips at the points of contact. Bend the free ends inward and secure with hot glue. If desired, decorate the finished craft at your discretion to add beauty.

Creating a laundry basket

Having gained experience, you can work on a new material - fabric, making a laundry basket out of it with your own hands. Buy a piece of metal mesh and shape it into a basket by connecting the edges and screwing them with wire. For the cover, select a piece of plain fabric 62 by 102 cm. Turn it facing inward and sew it on a machine. Make a circle with a diameter of 32 cm from the same fabric.

Stitch it together with a fabric cover, put it on the mesh, and carefully fold the upper end inward. We are preparing the same cover from elegant fabric to match your bathroom. We put it on the lower cover and decorate it with elements - lace, braid, pom-poms.

Fruit basket

You can use veneer for a fruit basket; it is easy to weave. Pre-soak the veneer in water at room temperature for one hour and hang it to dry. We cut the dried material into equal strips. We lay one part on a flat surface and fix it so that it does not move. We begin the weaving process according to the usual pattern until we obtain a square.

Align the remaining ends by weaving strips along the entire length. Then there are two more of the same kind. Align the intersection lines. We finish each side of the square with three long strips until the desired length is obtained. We fix the ends inward. It makes an excellent basket made of dense material.

Toy basket

If you want to make a basket for toys yourself, you need to take into account the height of the baby. It should be convenient for him to put toys in and take them out. Be sure to choose natural materials. We create a mesh frame (as in the previous work), cut out rectangles from two pieces of fabric according to the size of the sides of the frame, and prepare a circle for the bottom.

We sew the rectangles into the pipes and attach the bottom. We insert a metal mesh inside the case. We stitch or hand sew the edge. You can put toys together with your baby.

Waste basket

The basket is called so because it is made from unnecessary things. Old denim trousers, fabric with beautiful pattern, the remaining piece of linoleum, a piece of padding polyester of the same size, batting. We create a base from linoleum, fastening it along the edges with a stapler.

We sew two fabrics - the inner one from old trousers and the outer one from a nice fabric, sew on the round bottom. We prepare the same bases from thick materials, put them inside a double cover, and sew the edges tightly with strong thread.

Wicker

The oldest type of basket is made of twigs. They are selected by bending. If they don't break, the rod is ready. They are pre-soaked in cold water for at least 14 days, changing the water every day. You can soak it in boiling water: pour it over the rods and boil for two hours. The result will be beautiful material, bright and shiny vines. Weave a basket, starting from the base, according to the old grandfather’s method.

By starting to create baskets for your home, you can solve problems with laundry and toys, save money, get rid of old things, giving them a new life, and get positive emotions from the results of your work.

• wrapping paper; kraft paper (either several paper bags or a roll of mailing paper)
• a small piece of fiberboard for the bottom - 2 pieces;
• wooden skewer;

Cut the paper into rectangles. Then take a skewer and wind the tubes for weaving as shown in the photo below.

Then prepare a bottom of the size you need from fiberboard. Then place the tubes around the perimeter as shown in the photo and secure with double-sided tape.

Now generously apply glue to the slab and tubes and place the second tile on top. Press down with a stack of books or other weight on top. Leave to dry for a couple of hours.

In the meantime, let's prepare the straws. Let's twist the tubes twice as long as the first ones for the base.

Let's start weaving. Everything is very simple. Bend the end and hook it to the outermost tube. Weave a simple weave 1 through 1.

When the tube ends, drop glue into the wide part of the tube and insert the thin end.

Continue weaving until you reach the desired basket wall height. In our case there are 7 rows.

Finish the weaving like this: wrap the tube down and insert it between the weaving. Cut off the excess. Secure the end with glue.

Coat the top with spray varnish.

Cut two identical pieces from the belt for the handles of the basket.

Use a marker to mark the fasteners.

Use a drill to make the holes.

Secure the bolts and washers into the holes.

DIY basket made of thick rope

This master class will tell you how to make a basket without a handle from thick white rope and thin bright-colored laces. In addition to them, you need to prepare a needle with a large eye, scissors and a hot glue gun.

The bottom of the basket is a coil tightly folded into a spiral, fixed with glue. When the desired diameter is obtained, it is necessary to place the bottom on a flat surface and press it on top with a flat object. After a minute, you can move on to the next step.

The colored lace needs to be threaded through a needle, pierced from the inside of the rope and wrapped around it for a few centimeters, while both ends of the lace need to be hidden inside. Next, you should fold the walls of the basket in a circle, moving upward, constantly lubricating the rope with glue and wrapping it with lace from time to time. Colored inserts can be placed one above the other or in any order. In order for the rope basket to accept egg-shaped, it is necessary after 3-4 rows to pull the rope inward, thus narrowing the top. After the last top row is completed, you need to cut the rope, coat it with glue and hide it inside.

In an apartment, such a basket can serve as a stand for pens, pencils and handicrafts. It is also indispensable for the garden, where it can be used, for example, as a flower pot for summer plants or seedlings.

Using the same principle, you can make a basket from a clothesline with leather handles or from coarse fibers for decoration (sisal, hemp, jute, etc.). Instead of glue, you can use thick threads and special seams connecting all the parts. It is also appropriate to alternate glue and knots of colored yarn connecting the two levels. It is entirely possible to wrap the rope around a shape such as a bucket or flower pot. Then the basket will be level and symmetrical.

DIY basket made from newspaper tubes

A very light and beautiful basket is made from newspaper tubes. It requires more effort because the bottom, walls and handle will be wicker. First you need to make blanks; to do this, on a knitting needle or wooden skewer at an angle of 45 degrees, you need to tightly wind paper half the size of A4, starting from the corner. The other corner at the end needs to be glued, otherwise the tube will unravel. You will need a lot of such blanks, and about 9 pieces will have to be extended by connecting one to the other. All the resulting tubes need to be slightly flattened to make them easier to work with.

We will use as a form glass jar volume 1 liter. The shape can also be rectangular, for example, from a box. Weaving begins from the bottom: 4 long tubes must be placed in parallel and the same 4 blanks must be woven between them in a checkerboard pattern, either diving inward or bringing the tube up. At all stages it is necessary to press the parts tightly against each other.

Patchwork baskets

Having mastered this technology, you can move on to more complex weaving of patchwork baskets. This “grandmother’s” method will allow you to make something that will last forever.

It is much easier to sew a patchwork style basket from fabric. To do this, it is advisable to take thick cotton; you will also need canvas, floss threads, batting and dense lightweight material for the bottom (plexiglass, chipboard, thick cardboard). After printing the pattern, you need to transfer it to the fabric and make blanks for the base, handles, and inner part.

The next step is to apply sutures. It's best to find a detailed tutorial and follow all the tips. The quilted blank is combined with batting and canvas, then all the parts are sewn together according to the marking lines. Having inserted a dense base into the resulting pocket, you need to apply a machine stitch along the entire perimeter of the product. The final touch will be stitching the corners on the outside with bright threads. The basket is ready.

Thus, you can make a basket from scrap materials using the technology you like. Very original baskets made of corrugated paper, cardboard, natural materials, for example, dry cones, wicker egg containers with cells at the base and, of course, classic baskets made of wicker.

• White paint – 1 piece;
• Scissors – 1 piece;

We collect two bundles of six tubes and press them a little in the middle. Making the tubes a little flat.
We stack them on top of each other and begin to wrap them with one newspaper vine.
It is necessary to wrap several times.
Then we divide the columns by floor, so that there are three strips each, and we wrap it like that.
We add another vine and begin, twisting them crosswise, twisting them further.
This is how it should work out for you.
Having made four rows, we divide all the columns into separate vines and twist each one separately.
For convenience, it is better to place a large pot and weave a basket around it.
Try to lift each strip.
When the vertical strips run out, glue more strips to them.
After making ten rows, remove the pot, and in its place you can put a dumbbell for stability.
Now we begin to twist them around each other to complete the weaving.
Take two pieces.
We simply cut off the excess with scissors.
Glue three vines on each side for the handle. Trim off the excess and glue them together.
Fill everything thoroughly with glue.
And we braid them first separately, and then into one handle.
We paint each strip very carefully.
When the basket is dry, sew the decor onto it.

DIY Easter cake basket

On the day of Easter, according to tradition, believers give each other rich Easter cakes. And if you put it in a hand-made basket, I think it will be doubly pleasant for the recipient.

Tools :

• Mayonnaise bucket – 1 piece;
• Wooden clothespins – 2 packs;
• Glue moment – ​​1 piece;
• Twine – 1 skein;
• Fabric – 50 centimeters;
• Needle and thread – 1 piece;
• Lace – 50 centimeters.

Let's get started:

Carefully take apart the clothespins and divide each into two halves. For this job it is better to use pliers and a husband.
Using instant glue, glue them to the bucket. Pre-wipe the bucket with acetone.

How to make holiday items from paper

Sometimes you really want to do something bright and spring-like to make Easter even more joyful. Making this basket will be the solution to this problem. The costs of materials are minimal, and the result is simply enchanting. The color of the design depends on the chosen fabric.

• Cardboard of different colors - 3 sheets;
• Scissors – 1 piece;
• Fabric - 1 meter.

Let's get started:

Cut longitudinal strips five centimeters wide from cardboard. And from one sheet of paper you need to cut a circle with a diameter of fifteen centimeters. Also cut the fabric into strips five centimeters wide. For convenience, roll them into rolls.

For this craft, it is better to use chiffon or old tulle.

Place the cardboard strips on top of each other and glue them together. Attach the bottom on top; it will be better if its color matches the color of the fabric. Fold the strips up. Take a strip of fabric and wrap the strips of cardboard in a circle. The fabric should be twisted between each vertical strip, so the basket will have more volume. And do not pull the fabric strips tightly.
When you reach the very top, hide the end of the fabric between the rows. And wrap the strips of cardboard in fabric, bending them as tightly as possible. That's it, the basket is ready.

Paper products for Easter

On Easter, it is customary to give eggs not only in baskets, but also in interesting stands. Or they can be decorated individually for each guest and placed on the festive table. In a word, there would be a desire, but where to apply such beauty is up to you to decide.

What you will need:

• Cardboard egg box – 1 piece;
• Postcard – 1 piece;
• Paint – 2 pieces;
• Brush – 1 piece;
• Glue gun – 1 piece;
• Stationery knife – 1 piece;

Let's dull it:

I cut four cells from a cardboard box, but you can use a whole one or just the amount you need. Using a brush, paint the workpiece turquoise. And let it dry thoroughly.
Then lightly paint the stand with white paint.
Then, using a utility knife, cut off the excess.
From one edge, in the center, we make a small cut for the postcard.
You can tint a postcard with special ink, I used green ink and I went over it along the edge of the entire picture.
Then I carefully made a few green drops on it with a brush.
We insert the card into the stand and decorate each cell with artificial grass.

DIY Easter crafts

Cut a piece of 5 centimeters from a toilet paper or paper towel roll. Cut out a rectangle of 12*20 centimeters from colored paper. And we cut strips in it, not reaching the end of 4 centimeters, but 1.5 centimeters wide. Glue the sleeve with the uncut side, then bend the strips back and glue them. Glue the handle last. The basket is ready.

DIY crafts from old newspapers

And again we will use unnecessary newspapers, here the size of the baskets directly depends on the amount of waste paper in your home.

Tools:

• Newspapers – unlimited quantity;

What we do:

Roll each sheet of newspaper into a tight tube. For convenience, glue them together so that they do not unwind.
